I’m a self-taught traditional artist based in Melbourne, Australia. 

Though I’ve been drawing my entire life, I only really began taking my work & myself seriously a few years ago.

I work exclusively drawing the female form, my practices use traditional media to confront themes of nudity, femininity, strength, vulnerability censorship….

sometimes that needs to be translated with violence, sex, psychological discomfort & often with sprinkles of humour & absurdity. 

Every piece is grounded in personal meaning and my art is used to confront and process my private battles.

My work is not for Drs waiting room walls.

 

I loathe writing bios.

No, I’m not an edgy, dark, anonymous, art weirdo….

Bios feel forced, performative & conceited, the art never does. 

I want the work speak to people, to hit whatever wound inside them that resonates, rather than my story manipulating them emotionally & my pain selling the art. 

See your narrative in it, not mine. It’s more organic like that. 

Stereotypical of an artist, I’m very self deprecating and often shy about my work, but I’m confident that my art speaks louder about who I am & what I’ve been through, more than I ever could.
